About the Artist
Eddie Wong ( pen name W.Eddie) earned his accolades as a world-renowned impressionist artist with over 30 years of experience in the art industry. With his roots beginning in Hong Kong, he has since then participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions and competitions both in China as well as in the United States.
He attended the respected Hong Kong Art Academy, as well as the Art Student League in New York after he immigrated to the U.S. in 1982 with his wife. A few short years later, he won the first of New York Public Painting Competition in Queens, making him first non-American to place in the best of the show. The Chinese World Journal displayed his accomplishment on the front-page the following day.
Eddie travels extensively and is best known for his bucolic-styled landscapes of Southern France, Italy, Belgium and Vienna. His work is heavily influenced by the impressionists, especially the work of Claude Monet, with his rich earth tone colors and soft light. His work is exhibited throughout the United States.
